A Little Bit About Myself............
I Was Born In Oak Park, Illinois. Had Fun, And Grew Up In My Home Town Of Forest Park, Illinois, And The City Of Chicago Was My Playground!
I Lost Track Of All My Old Hometown Buddies When I Left Forest Park In 1970, And Sure Hope Some Of You Will Be Reading This "About Me" Page. I`ll Give You A Little More Information To Jog The Old Memory, And Maybe You`ll Be Saying......
"Hey, I Know That Guy!"
I Attended St. John Lutheran Grade School In Forest Park (305 Circle Ave.), But Moved From Illinois After My Freshman Year At Walther Lutheran High School (Melrose Park - Home Of The Bronco`s!) In 1970. So Hey, If Any Of You Guys Are Out There, And See This "About Me" Page, I`d Like A E-Mail From You! I Still Remember The Good Old Days Of Skateboarding, Softball Games, Ice Hockey, Bowling, And Visits To The City Pool!

I Sure Wouldn`t Mind Getting A E-Mail From Them, And A Update Of What Has Been Happening In Illinois.
I Left Illinois in 1970, And Became Another NC Yankee!
After Graduating From Central Davidson High School (Here In Lexington, NC) I Enlisted, And Served 6 Years In The United States Navy As A Electrician`s Mate. (I Wanted To Be A Photographer`s Mate, But It Seems There Was No Openings In That Field) My First Year I Spent In San Diego, California, Where I Attended Bootcamp, And Then A School For "Basic Electricty And Electronics", Which Followed By, "Electrician`s Mate Class A School." The Other 4 Years I Was Home Ported, And Stationed In Little Creek, Virginia, On Board The U.S.S. Fairfax County (LST 1193 - Tank Landing Ship). After getting off the Fairfax, I served some inactive reserve time, and that was about it.
Some Of My Ports Of Call Included Visiting Many Cities In Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Crete, Haiti, Holland, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, Cuba, And Palma de Mallorca. They were all great countries to visit, but as Dorthy said in the Wizard Of Oz...........

Since You Never Can Tell, If Anyone That Served Onboard The U.S.S. Fairfax County (L.S.T. 1193) From 1974-78 Is Reading This, I`d Like To Hear From You Too! In Fact, It May Be Time For A Ship Reunion Soon! Remember The U.S.S. Belnap? Almeria, Spain? How About Checking Out The City Of Pompeii? Or Hiking To The Top Of Mt. Vesuvius, And Looking Down Into The Mouth Of The Volcano? Those Were The Days!
I`m Living In Lexington, North Carolina At The
Present Time. It`s Really Awesome Here, Because Right now I`m Living Between Some Great Mountains,
And Wonderful Beaches! I Live For Warm Weather! Photography Is One Of My Many
Hobbies that Keeps Me Busy. I Always Try And Have A Camera With Me At All Time, As You Never Can Tell When A Good Shot May Come Up! I Just Love Making Pictures Look Like They Were Taken Back In The Olden Days. This I Accomplish By Using A Sepia Filter, But The Best Subject I Like To Shoot, Is Lightening Bolts! I Always Look Forward To A Good Thunderstorm.
I Also Do A Little Panning For Gold, Woodcrafting, Candlemaking, Hiking, Fishing, And When I Have The Time, I Like To Take One Of My Sailboats Out For A Kick Back On High Rock Lake, And When The Is No Wind, I Settle For My Explorer 1 Canoe! Isn`t Life Grand?
My Auctions Consist Mainly Of Trading Cards, Which Contain Both Sports And Non-Sports Catagories. I Have Been Trying To Complete
Some Sets Of Cards For My Own Collection, And Always Like To List Any Duplicates In The Auction Sites, Thinking Maybe
Someone Out There Could Use Them To Help Complete Their Own Sets.
I`m Also Listing Some Homemade, Wood Based Refrigerator Magnets, And Velcro Plaques. These Magnets And Plaques Can Have Either Funny Sayings On Them, Or Some Type Of Picture That Has Been Cut Out From Either A Magazine, Postcard, One Of My Own Personal Pictures That I Took, Or Even A Postage Stamp, And Sealed To A Wood Base. I Make These In My Spare
Time, And Do Some Setting Up At Local Craft Shows When They Hit The Area. I`ve Got To Say They Are Different, And Usually One Of A Kind!
You Never Can Tell What I May List, As I Am Always Finding Something
Different, And Coming Up With New Craft Ideas For Homemade Items To Keep People Guessing.
